I have been on a very low sodium/salt diet for 2-3 months like under 50-100 mg. I also drink 6-7 liters of water . I suspect that this low sodium/salt is kicking me back. Whenever I substitute my oats (no sodium) with high sodium cereal (fiber cereal around 1.2 g per 100 grams) i feel much more energised and my veins popp out. I also think my blood circulation fucks up because of very low sodium levels. Is there any corelation between blood circulation and very low sodium level? Are there any side effects? thanks

Shall i increase my sodium to around 1 gram per day ?(I am cutting, 8-9% fat)

you know, i hear sodium is actually very anabolic, and helps build muscle. Unless you are on a serious precontest diet and are trying to drain every last drop of water out of your body, you should definitely raise that up.... 2.5g a day is the rda, however an active bodybuilder who consumes 1-2 gallons of water a day could probably get away with alot more.

sodium is an essential mineral. since most of us cook 95% of our foods there is very little salt in them. you need to start either cooking with salt or salting your foods slightly. depending on body weight, etc. you can easily handle 3-4 grams of sodium a day.

personally I cook with sea salt

as you should know sodium and potassium are essential for your entire nervous system to work properly in addition to it being vital for protein syntheis and glucose uptake

I didnt even think you could live on 50-100mg of sodium per day

thats insane if its true
