I have been taking Prolab N'large 2 for awhile now, but was thinking of changing over to ON's whey protein instead. I was wondering which one everybody thought was the better product?

I am just a bit over 5'-10 and weight 182 lbs, bodyfat between 13 and 18 % depending on which method I use to measure it.

I wake up at 4:30 am workdays and head to work for 5am so I dont really have much time for breakfast, so I would always mix a Probab shake and drink it before work, then bring a snack to eat a couple hours later. Would the ON whey be just as good for that?

completely different products, man. nlarge2 has maltodextrin for carbs; it is a bulking supplement. whey is generally about 5% carbs.

the nlarge2 shake is probably better in the morning - it has carbs which youll need for energy. the whey protein will shoot through your body in about an hour.

it all depends on what youre trying to get out of it.

I am kinda looking for the least expensive way to get protein. I have been tracking my diet using a computer program and it seems that I always go over on carbs and fat but have a harder time keeping up on the protein.

What is best for a post work out meal? Some whey protein with some kinda carb and no fat? Or a weight gainer shake like N large 2 with carbs and fat in it? In the mornings, if I switched to whey protein, I could grab some toast with banana on them for some carbs probably if that would work?

I don't know how much Prolab N'Large2 cost, but I'm guessing ON Whey would be cheaper since you can buy it in 10 lb. bulk for ~$50 (I consider this cheap).

A good post workout meal would contain whey protein and carbs, no fat, so yes, you are correct. I do ~1 cup oats, <2 scoops ON Whey, mixed with water and ~150g frozen strawberries.

I am from Canada and I can get a 10 lb bag of ON whey for 79$ Canadian (free shipping), Prolab N'large 2 is $63 bucks for a 10 lb tub.

the ON would be cheaper because the nlarge2 is like 60% carbs. go to allthewhey.com. 10 lbs of protein for 42.99.

I think I checked there before, dont think they ship to Canada. Just tried to get to the website but I couldnt get through, damn isp has been horrible lately.

Someone suggested eBay before. I think it came to less than $50 for shipping within the U.S. - you could ask if they shipped to Cananda, I bet they would for a little extra.

I checked ebay the company selling them for 42.99 wont ship to Canada.
