I'm fairly new at the gym thing and my goals are to lose weight (fat) and gain muscle. I have a question.... I don't have enough money to use protein shakes every day, so I was wondering when the optimal time to drink them.

I do cardio in the mornings, about 5 days a week and lift 3 evenings a week. Should I drink the shakes immediately after lifting, the next day, or what? If I could afford more, I would. What do you think? Thanks.

reflex whey is good value for money, quality and quite cheap. i would drink it post workout and try to get more protein in your diet through eating more chicken breasts, lean beef e.t.c.

P.S- best of luck in achieving your goals! stay motivated and keep at it!

Post workout for optimal results using whey. But, as a newbie, you probably don't even need it. Eat a clean diet and you'll notice a lot of gains without any additional supplements.

If you are on a budget, nothing beats this:

They ship free if you spend $50.
