Hay guys, Im trying to loose weight right now and Im doing it in the healthiest way possible, and so to makesure that I am obtaining enough EFA`s and Protein in my diet I am going to buy some EFA and some whey protein supplements only problem is there are alot of different brands/types and so on, so I was hopeing you guys could tell me which one`s I should get(One for each obviously). There are two things to consider, the first is the price as I do not want to be paying alot of money, it does not mean they have to be cheap though. And the secound is they can not contain large amounts of fat(eg. using semi-skimmed milk with the whey protein). Hopefully this thread will not be just for me but for others who also need advice on EFA`s and whey proteins also.Basically Im asking which supplement/oil is best for each of the two?
Thank You for any help
Willo

ps. Are there any other supplements which I should take to help my weightloss?

PPS. a beginner question, on a 2 day split routine would it be

Mon: Upper Body Workout
Tue: Rest
Wed: Lower Body Workout
Thur: Rest
Fri: Upper Body Workout
Sat: Rest
Sun: Lower Body Workout

Or

Mon: Upper Body Workout
Tue: Lower Body Workout
Wed: Rest
Thur:Upper Body Workout
Fri: Lower Body Workout
Sat: Rest
Sun: Rest

Thanx for any help!

Brands are more of an individual preferance. Cant really give you specific names as they might not be available where you are, unless you are willing to order them online from overseas.

For your workout, the first option is better than the second. But since you are looking to loose fat, i would suggest a 3day spilt with cardio on other days + 1 day completly off.

M-Chest/Delts/Tris
T-Cardio
W-Legs
T-cardio
F-Back/Bis
S-Cardio
S-Off

Or you could rework it to have the day after legs as the day off. You will need it and yes, you MUST work legs.

For effective results you need an effective diet. So go over to the diet forum and study the sticky 'Guide to...'. Then post a thread there with each meal with macros and cals and totals for a critique.

Sh*t I have got my work cut out for me! Hay listen thank you for replying and for replying with useful information. For the supplements, I have decided to go and look for them from a local health shop.

PS. I have been recording all my calorie intake for the past three weeks and I am going to keep recording for another week then find out my achievements then post in the forum you suggested so they can give my diet a "fine tuning"

Thanx again for your help!
Willo

PPS. I have read "Guide to cutting, bulking and maintenance" already, but to make sure I have got it perfectly clear I am going to re-read it!

Good idea to compare prices first. Sometimes there can be quite a diff. Wish some of the brits on this forum would respond. They might be able to give you better info on brands available there. But no worries. You still need to do your own research.

Good idea. This will tell you if the number of cals you are consuming are working or not and will give you a starting point.

You are totally right about the British members on this site but never mind like you said I do have to do my own research into it.And as long as there are people like you on this site, who needs them?
