I've took some out to smell it and it smells like sesame oil...

Yeah, it will smell like oil. You either use it and see what happens, or you pay $100-$150 to get it tested.

YOu just have to hope that your source is good. If you checked them out first and they have had past successful dealings with others then you should be ok.
