I have Hypoparathyroidism and Addison's Disease and have been at the gym for over a year. As I've went from 161lbs to 192lbs I've had to get medication increased to compensate etc
But I've been put in hospital twice for extremely high Potassium levels (Point of heart failure). My question is... Anyone here got this condition and has any problems weight training?
I've had anxiety attacks, loss of appetite, dizzy, confusing and some more. (I get this more after a leg day)
I eat a stable diet although am not sure with having this condition things can effect me different? Like Multivitamins or to much Zinc, Protein shakes etc?
If there is anyone out there that has this it would be great to hear your experiences.
Cheers

I dont have hypo but my grandma does. She goes to the gym with me in the mornings and she started to notice a pain in her neck so she got it checked out. She was tested positive forit and now takes a vitamin called ThyroSense with helps to increase her metabolism. Her diet is much the same as mine and she's seeing nice results
Breakfast is usually 1/2 c oats with berries, flax, and brown sugar to taste. she will snack on fruit or veggies and her lunch is usually cottage cheese and salad. her dinner is often a lean meat with veggies. She also enjoys protein shakes/powders.
Her workouts have remained the same. she does a 1/2 hour of weight training and 1/2 hour of cardio. she also dragonboats 3 times a week and does pilates.
te only problems she's had with weight training and her condition is the neck thing i talked about earlier and at the end of the day she is usually exhausted, but then again most people are.
