Am I doin This Right?

Sorry for another thread,but I've done research and looked @stickies,and still am havin a bit of trouble,sorry to seem like a pest,but I can't find any support where I am.So,OK I'm tryin to cut body fat,mainly midsection,before I go ahead and try to bulk,anyway someone earlier, I think LAM said in one of my other posts,that my BMR was too low @1900-2100.Well I checked out my BMR online and it says w/my stats plus my workouts 5'8'',160,14-16%bf not exactly sure,plus cardio and weights,I should ingest around 2800 cal a day,so if I decrease that #by 10% and keep w/workouts and a relatively clean diet(don't know if lo sugar Ice cream is clean),could I drop this excess flubber around my midsection?(also this will prolly go into effect soon as boot camp is done)late.

any figures online are simply guesstimates. it might put you in the ballpark but to truly find the right numbers for yourself takes trial and error. weight yourself now, keep a diary of everything you eat for a week or 2, then weigh yourself again to see if you lost, maintained, or gained weight.

The good thing about cutting is that it is easy and pleasantness to get that fat in your body again. Watch out to not lose that too fast or else you might be losing muscles.

Actually I've gained 15 lbs. ever since I upped calories to bout 2100 from June-now,but that's when I also started doin weights. So don't know if that 15 lbs. is muscle or fat, maybe both.
