I just started a new job, UPS. 4 hours of EXTREME lifting.
Mainly using my back, when I got done though, and took me a nap, I woke up.. My lower back was so damn sore, and my forearms.
Nothing else really, but I'm sure I'm working more muscles then those 2. Should I freakin stop working out? I drink a gallon of water in that 4 hour period of lifting just to maintain. Im just worried about over-training now. Dont wanna lose my muscle because of this job.
Thanks.

i would take a slight break untill your body gets used to the job (which should happen pretty quickly).

eat more to compensate, if you notice fatigue, weakness, weight loss and so forth. I work in retail and am on my feet for 6-8hrs, and since I'm the only male that works during the week, I get all the labor intensive tasks. I just eat enough, get a good amount of carbs, and watch my performance in the gym. All I can do.

i have the same problem. i work for the phone company, so all day i'm out climbing poles and carrying tools and equipment, etc. my training has really suffered because of it. i can't really follow a set routine anymore, i just kinda go to the gym whenever i feel up to it.

I started framing houses in late april. no way in hell am i working out while doing this job. After a hot day working 11 hours in the sun lifting heavy shit you go home and youre just burnt right out man. Training is the last thing on your mind
. Plus i dont seem to have much of an appetite during summer which is kinda annoying. I'll start again when class is in in september.
