What are your goals? If your goals are purely to gain mass, then hour long cardio sessions every single day off from lifting will probably not be very productive. I generally stick to 30 minutes of cardio or less, and I only do it twice per week.

As an aside, an HIIT session should last you a max of 20 minutes. If you can go longer, then you're doing it wrong.

i was thinking 30 min of hiit and 30 mins of lower intensity, i prefer fitness to mass building and therefore dont mind if mass builds slowly cos im a good size at the mo however i dont want cardio to break down muscle and impede any gains!
the reason for doing cardio is that im pretty much lying down all day as im waiting for uni to start and still got a bit more fat to go and i feel good after cardio sessions!

I just run twice a week for 30 min. If you really want to drop weight you have to do 45min or more cardio.....3 times a week.

Ah, I understand. So, you wanna cut some fat for a bit. In that case, I would make your resistance training workouts into a circuit style routine. That is, you do one set of each exercise in sequence without rest. Once you finish a cycle like that, then you can rest a minute and go again. You may also want to consider simply using 30 second rest intervals.

Then, I would still not bother jogging for 60 minutes at a time. Stick to 30 minutes of traditional cardio, or 20 minutes of HIIT cardio. Like I said before, you are doing HIIT wrong if you can last for 30 minutes. The idea is to go faster and keep the amount of time you perform the exercise static.

Okay, it's perfect, fine. Well, my suggestion about cardio still stands. Anyway, you should really be doing more reading in the diet section anyway. That is going to be the strongest determinant in your weight loss success.
