yep! i have gained that in 2 months on a crappy diet!

We've had this discussion before. It's possible to gain 50 pounds in a week. There are many factors that affect this.

Sleep, diet, previous training, current routine, chemical imbalances at the times of attempting to max, music playing, your emotions... Need I go on?

steriods

no need! music?

Posted by: Squaggleboggin

Yes, music. Haven't you ever heard a song that gave you a sudden burst of energy? If I hear the right song at the right time, I know I can get a new max.

im talkin about a routine 2 help me increase my bench

Posted by: Squaggleboggin

You also asked about whether it was possible. That's what we were discussing. You really need to just experiment and try things that work for you. If you need a routine, you need to post your current stats and training history, along with your diet.

Possible? Yes. Easy? No. You have to do everything just right, and diet does count. A few routines that are known to put a lot of weight on your bench press:

-Westside

-Metal Militia

If that is the case, you don't need to be using the advanced programs I laid out for you just yet. You just need to focus on the basics. I usually recommend full body routines to beginners. You will be amazed at the progress you make. Something like this 3 days per week (Alternate between the two workouts) with a day or two of rest in between each session:

Day A:
Olympic Squats 3 x 8-12
Chinups 3 x 8-12
Bench Press 3 x 8-12
Hyperextensions 3 x 12-15

Day B:
Deadlifts 3 x 8-12
Bent Rows 3 x 8-12
Military Press 3 x 8-12
Situps 3 x 12-15

Note: This does not inlcude warming up. I firmly believe in doing at least 5 minutes of cardio and a few warmup/weight acclimation sets before each exercise.

Unless you are brand new, I dont think music or great training and diet and everything you need are going to get you a drug free 50 pounds in 6 weeks. A lot of the time the ease of such a thing, not looking at genetics, depends on where you are right now. If you are benching 405 getting another 50 is going to be a motherbitch. If you are benching 150, lets talk.

Or if there is something we can change easily, just changing my form gave me about 15 pounds the very first day.

He is brand new, and he is benching 150. So, it is entirely possible, and I don't think he needs to be doing any type of exotic training.

In that case, 10 pounds is about the most I could ever do naturally with decent training. 5 would be more typical for my genetics, back in the early days, but 10 was doable for a short while.

i've gained 30lbs in 1 1/2 week so its probably possible

Posted by: HardTrainer

I gained 50lbs on my bench press on a 8-9 week training cycle, BUT i was overtraining stupidly before and not eating right, and that gain was on a 8 week perfect training and eating cycle which was the most perfect 8-9 weeks of training i have ever had also i was helped by the gym owner on every workout to increase wieghts.

thats was not a gain of 50lbs on my one RM max 50lb gain on a set of 8 reps

Posted by: Mudge

I was doing up to 36 sets for bodyparts when I was 18, if your lifts are going up its hard to call it overtraining. More than neccessary, damned likely, but an overtrained CNS wont produce results except in the negative.

Posted by: sieb

iv been trainin for about a year doin whole body workouts and all that has done is kept me in shape. what im sayin is i want something that will help me on my way instead of me just wasting my time

Are you replying to me? I was overtraining before i did that 8-9 weeks training with my firend but did HIT (not overtraining) while doing the 8-9 weeks.

This stark contrast between very wrong to suddenly very good is the reason why i think i gained so fast...

So i think it is possible depending on circumstances

Posted by: Squaggleboggin

I don't think you should be taking any supplements though. Especially being fifteen years old.

3 ways that I know of

1. If you are a complete beginner..........still it will be very hard....almost impossible

2. If you have real shitty form and a professional teaches you the correct form....this will boost your bench but still it will be very hard to jump up 50 lbs

3. Anadrol and test cycle.......it will be very easy to put on 50lbs to your bench......you might even put on 80.

I would 2nd this if the person has never used before, and I'd say that the extra 50 lbs would come within a 4 week period.
