You can see that Trotter didnt' start it. They replayed it 20 times. I guess Trotter should have just walked away. He looked like he was going to jump out of his skin. He was freakin out. It was def a winable game. 5 months after the Super Bowl and they come up with that offense. WOW.

This is an accurate portrayal of what happened. Trotter should have known better, a 5th string specialist starting a fight with a starting LB. You have to have a little more sense than that. I don't know that Trot would have made that much of a difference, that offense they brought last night won't win more than 10 games, which in the NFC is 4 more than you need to make the playoffs.

Who is next on their schedule?

I initially wanted to dump the entire blame on Trotter, but Atlanta only scored 14 points. The big green machine did it's job even without Trott. The offense was completely to blame for this loss. And I include Andy (Dumbass) Reid in the offense. His play calling absolutely SUCKS. I also blame McNabb. If he was healthy after that hit, he absolutely SUCKS as a passer. If his piss poor passing was because he was hurt he should have pulled himself from the game. Also, T.O. better be damn happy with the money he's making now. He sure didn't earn a raise. Dropping passes that hit you squarely in the hands is NOT what the best paid receivers in the league do. (Not that many hit him in the hands, but he needed to make those few count.)

Eagles first loss:

Defense played exceptionally well, limiting the Falcons to 14 pts. None scored in the last three-quarters.

Stopping the run – needed Trotter to do his thing, plus the attitude to match.

Even without Trot, the defense still sacked Vick 4 x and created turnovers.

Offense was pitiful:

Poor play calling, the result of Reid (which has been the case before) or

the inability of the offense to show any degree of being “crisp” – no gellin’ there because of pre-camp ca-ca and not enough time playing together in the pre-season? In addition to a newer receiving corps?

A combo of both, including:

False starts

Dropped passes

Not running the ball

McNabb’s injury – which was also the result of poor (pass) protection by the newer linemen – Hicks and Andrews, they were beat more than once and blew assignments.

McNabb choosing not to run with the ball, holding it way too long, especially when there were numerous opportunities to take off – which would have kept Atlanta’s defense on their heels.

Two missed field goals - which would have made a huge difference.

The Falcons won because of the way they played – more intense and with a greater sense of urgency - in comparison to the Eagles offense.

Eagles beat themselves, they didn’t play well enough to win.

The Falcons won this time, but the Eagles will be much improved if the two teams meet again.

The Philadelphia Eagles will be just fine…seen them play this way before and then play well the rest of the season.

Man, 49'ers Suck. Eagles couldn't have looked better. The O-line still needs work. They looked great today. Spreading the ball around. Thats what I like to see. McNabb moving around in the pocket. Good stuff.

Idon't think the 9ers sucked somuch as the Eagles dominated. Wish I could have seen the Panthers/Pats game, to see whether the Panthers just beat them, or they beat themselves.

I know Andy Reid would call passing plays on every down of the game if he could but DAMN, you need an O-line that can do SOME kind of run blocking. Yeah, they're great at pass blocking, but the run goes nowhere. I don't understand why they don't just line up Westbrook in the slot on every play. He's 1,000 times more effective from there. On the rare occasion he finds a hole and gets through the line he does some serious damage, but that's a one in a million shot.
