Latenight snacking problems

I try so hard not to do this but everyday I wake up @ 3am and eat.. Its messing up my diet big time but I swear I'm like a robot.. Any tricks to stopping this?

Are you eating enough throughout the day? Late hunger cravings usually mean that you didnt get enough foor over the day. Do you eat anything before bed? Eat something high in fats and protein, with some calories and carbs before you go to bed.

is it true hunger or just eating to eat? if it's the latter, then you need to just have some self control and don't eat. If you're really hungry,then work it it do your daily cals and fit in the meal at 3 am. Def. eat something right before bed tho. Slow prot.'s and fats, like Psch91 said.

see thats the thing.. I think its eat to eat.. I wake up at 3am and head to the fridge.. I think its also from my inability to sleep for hrs w/o waking up.. Ive tried a lot of sleep meds and nothing knocks me out for 6hrs straight.. Just got anabolic matrix tho, word is it helps ya snooze, see how that works

I have a protein shake if I wake up..
16 oz 1% milk, 2 scoups whey......................27 carbs....60 protein and 5 fat

Have a big Micellar Casien shake before bed. This stuff turns into gel in your stomach and sits there for hours. I've heard it can take 8 hours to digest, assuming you consume 50+ grams of micellar casien with whole milk.

Alot of different health shops by my house have casein, but if you cant find it anywhere you can order it from optimumnutrition.com. casein keeps you full throughout the night and it speeds up your gains bigtime.
