Does anyone know what a healthy sodium intake range is? More importantly what your sodium limit per day should be. I was wondering, because I ate a snack today that was 1000mg of sodium....which seems very high.

a normal person can easily go 3-4 grams a day with a sufficeint water intake so an athlete can easily consume much higher than that

Food for thought:
If ever craving food high in sodium compare the different food choices available and choose the one that has the lowest amounts of sodium and highest amounts of potassium. Sodium is a water retainer and potassium is a water balancer thus, excreting any excess water out of the system. Compare food choices and their food labels.

So true! Sodium is found in most highly processed foods. In fact if you tried to get the recommended grams of sodium by consuming natural foods it would be a full time job.
