Fat before bed question

Before I go to sleep I have 2 scoops ( 1 serving) of mega milk (like muscle milk) with about 15 ounces of skim milk. I know this is a good amount of fat already but should I still take my Omega 3-6-9 with it. Before I just used a casein protien and took 6 fish oil caps. I don't know if this is too much fat before sleep.

My advice: Drop the mega-crap and eat something instead.

Not only due to the 8g of saturated fats in the shake alone either - just because it is a crappy alternative to real food...

Real food (fats and proteins +/- some carbs and fibre) + fish oils = all you need.

you want protein/fats before bed. something like 40-50 grams of protein and 20-30 grams of fats is good depending on your size and/or goals.

if the Dymatize Mega Milk is like Muscle Milk then the majority of the fats are MCT's. MCT's are short chained fatty acids which the body metabolizes more like carbs with out the related increase in serum insulin. MCT's are popular for some who favor keto type diets. I have used them off and on with great success when low carbing.

I live in a dorm so mega milk will have to do untill move out. I keep oatmeal, almonds, granola, skim milk, tuna, and supplements in the room. And please don't reccomend cottage cheese, it's basically the only thing I can't (won't) eat.

Yeah I know they were MCT's but thanks for the info. 20-30 grams of fat, thats great. So I guess I'll take 4 caps at night.

I believe they are almost exactly the same. Mega milk is cheaper where I buy it.
