When I start my cut in a few weeks, I want to go lift right after school. I would be having a shake at 10:00 in class and then I would be able to workout from 11:30 to 12:30. First of all, is it ok to wait 1.5 hrs after a shake to workout. Also, So what should I put in this shake in order for it to last long and give me energy and should I have anything on the way to the gym?

Yes. As long as your shake is not whey + dextrose you will be fine.

Adding protein + carbs + fats + fibre + fruit will help slow digestion and give you energy.

Also using an egg powder and not just a whey would be something else you can do.

If you want/think you need it... Alternatively you could sip a dextrose/whey shake while you workout if you are that concerned about a possible lack in energy.
