I'm cutting for my first time. I am a 6'4" male who weighed about 232 at the start of my cut. I am carb cycling. Is it working too well? My goal was to lose 2 lbs. per week, but in actuallity I am losing closer to 3 lb. per week. Is that too much to fast?

For someone your size (as long as your not already shredded) then 3 pounds a week is fine...

Whats your bf% and current goals as well as how are attempting to achieve them exercise wise?

I am about 15% body fat. Want to get down to 10 - 12%. I lift weights 3x per week. I workout each body part just once per week. Before starting to cut I was doing 20 minutes of cardio 3x per week. During my cut I am doing 30 to 40 minutes 5 or 6 times per week.

wll 3lbs a week is kinda fast but if your just stating that sounds OK to me. The lower your BF gets though the slower your weight should come off....if it remains straight through at a rapid loss theny ou may be sacrficing muscle. Just some food for thought later on down the road.

At 15% you might want to be careful about 3 pounds/week - especially if you are doing 30-40 minutes of cardio 5 to 6 days a week.. It is a little bit rapid and could mean more muscle loss than what would be desirable.

Also - with only hitting each boy part only once/week you might also be compounding the problem (not enough stimuli on your muscles to prevent loss).

I would consider dropping cardio back and swapping to a more 'compound' weight program (eg: an upper/lower split).

Is that:
Workout 1: upper body
workout 2:lower body
workout 3:upper body
workout 4 lower body

Repeat each week????

Also, how much cardio should I be doing during a cut? I think I'm following the guidelines in Burn the fat feed the muscle.

But make sure you have a break. eg:
mon - upper
tues - lower
wed - off
thurs - upper
fri - lower
sat/sun - off

How much?

If you have no reason for cardio (that is, if you are not preparing for a marathon or anything athletic) then you want to do as much as required but as little as possible.

People vary in their required cardio levels - if you can get away with less, then do less. If you have to do a little more - do a little more.
