i dunno if this is decent or not...but i think its pretty good.

not bad

What is it in inches?

Posted by: realdeal

Correction, it is not "How big is your bicep?" it is How big is your ARM?!!!

because your tricep and brachialis are apart of your measurement right? and they consume about 70% of your arm.

Figured I'd throw a few pics up, just took them. Sorry for the quality, was done on a digital camcorder.

I'd like to add about 4 inches to my arms... they need a whole lot of work.

There is nothing wrong with your arms Eggs...I think they look great! As you gain more size, I think they will look quite dramatic!

Thanks Iron and Kuso...

Iron, you've got some good guns on you man, whats your bicep workout generally consist of?

Mine is something like:

2 or 3 sets of a basic heavy curl (this can be barbell or dumbell, since the amounts lifted are quite similar), I aim for 6-8 reps in these sets.

2 sets of dumbell curls aiming for 12 reps.

1 - 2 sets of hammer curls, 8-12 reps.

1 - 2 sets of isolated single arm preacher curls, 8 - 12 reps.

I change it up as often as possible... sometimes every week to try and keep from stagnating. Noticed that your diet has alot to do with the size of your guns, if you dont eat well they really drag.

Thanx Eggs that's a good routine for arms you have. I am a firm believer of drop sets. My bicep workout out right now is this;

Dumbell curls:
warmup set - 12 reps
middle set - 7 reps
Final set - 1-2 reps, quickly drop the weight in half and go till I can't do anymore

Cable curls using a preacher curl bench:
Same stategy as dumbell curls.

twentyone's:
(for those that don't know, 21's is a barbell exercise where you curl 3 different ways. 7 extending your arm all the way down and going up only half way. 7 from half way to all the way up. Then 7 full curls giving you a count of 21)

Warmup set - the 21's are fairly easy to do, about 80lbs.
Middle set - little harder to do, 95lbs.
Final set - Squeeze out 21 with 110, then drop the weight to 55lbs and do reverse curls till I drop.

I agree with the eating comment. Unfortunately what gives the biggest arms doesn't always help with the stomach, What can you do eh?

Cool Iron, I'll have to give that a try one of these days and see how it works. I usually dont warm up because I do back before biceps, and have certain back workouts which put alot of stress on the biceps. ie. Rerverse grip pulldowns (like the heavyness, think its a good growth/strength exercise).

That's one of my favorite ones too. I just do the warmups because I like doing biceps and tri's on the same day. I also think I could get hurt pretty quick with all the drops sets to failure and not doing a warm up.

Hey Iron, I recently started doing 21's also, and they are by far my favorite and most effective bicep exercise in my opinion. By the time i finish my last set I'm completely dead.

As far as the weight goes, man thats impressive. I usually do 2 sets of 35 lbs, and the last set 45 lbs, then I'm about ready to fall over.
