I am sitting here as my class is doing an assignment and eating brown rice and pork chops! If I am to eat six times a day I need to eat in class I am not sure how my boss recieved this. He just commented as I was walking by.."mid-day snack?" I felt like saying yeah no shit you little pencil neck fuck! But I didn't.

you might want to try using protein bars for such a situation--it's less obtrusive than chowing down on rice and meat. although probably not as healthy, you can still get your macronutrients in that way...this is what i do when i'm stuck sitting in on a three hour lecture.

Reading that you're this kind of teacher makes me think of that commercial where the guy is a History Research Analyst and is eating the Peanut Butter sandwich when the radio announcer asks, "For $1000, who shot Alexander Hamilton? Call in now if you know..." And the guy calls in and tries saying the right answer... "AAwwrruuoonnnm BHhmmeerrr..." <--(Aaron Burr) and he doesnt win the contest... hahaha... Your class must have some funny things to say about some of your History lectures.

I try not to lecture with a sandwich in my hand but I have been known to do it with a myo-plex shake in my hand. They laugh after I take a drink because I look like the poster child for the "Got Milk" commercials!

Where is your class right now?

Posted by: devildog88

THey are right here with me. They are doing research on the British Blunders during the battle of Bunker hill.

Lunch Time!

I wish our history teachers were as cool.
They are all dicks pretty much.

So biased too.

Posted by: devildog88

I encourage my students to have their own opinions. SO many times all that you get in class is a copy of what Mom and DAD believe. I think it is important to understand why you believe something, and often a high school student doesn't understand why they think the way that they do.

That's so funny, because my history teacher my Freshman year was a retired Marine as well.

Well School is done for another day I am off to BB practice and then to the weight room, Peace out!

Ya, speaking of eating in front of people in unusual situations:

I regularly eat my protein bars or shakes in the middle of class if it is a long lecture or meal time just happens to fall in the middle of class. Over the summer, whenever I went out to the bars with my friends, I always had a couple of meals in my pockets in tupperware containers. I would take tuna and cottage cheese, chicken breast and rice, turkey breast and veggies...shit like that. When that 2-hour mark came around, you bet your ass that a meal and a fork came out of my pocket and onto the table right in the middle of a busy campus bar. Don't worry, I was downing pitchers of water...no alcohol.

Yea my history teacher from soph year was in the NAVY for 20 some years. One of the best teachers I ever had.

I had pretty cool professors in college, so I was able to eat in each class. I had classes that each lasted over 2 hours, only twice a week. So I had to eat in every class.
