hi people, was wondering if you guys could help me out. im trying to put on lean weight here, and was told to eat every 2 hours, which is fair enough, but i get told by some people 'make sure its low in fat, nutritious etc and good for you' then i get someone else saying ' if its there, eat it, no matter what it is, get it in! also make sure ur eating at least 30g protein per meal as well' so what do you reckon? i weigh around 12.75 stone, want to make it 13 st without putting on fat. will my workouts (4x a week) burn off the fat anyway? thanks in advance for ur help, tom

Don't eat just anything. You should try to get a good, balanced diet. A bunch of junk food isn't going to help you. As long as you're getting around 5 - 6 meals per day that should be good. I, personally, eat once every 3 hours.

You can check other topics, or wait for someone who knows about it, to tell you what exactly you should be eating.

i'm putting on lean weight too...i personally eat every 2 hours, about 300 <balanced> calories. the key, i would say, is to include protein, carbs and healthy fats. your body needs all three. about 30g of protein per meal is fair...i aim for 40g of protein, but 25g at minimum.
