i'v been reading alot about low gi carbs and the effects but most of the sites dont list good dietary sources. can somebody give me a list of good sources or a website i can go to?

There is a really good website about the glycaemic index known as: Mendosa. That will give you the most information - more than anything one of us could write in the space of these tiny threads!

Also, a good little tip to remember is that generally the less processed a grain is the better the GI rating. As well, lots of fiber generally indicates a reasonable GI rating.
For example, the level of processing in the oats heirarchy:
Steel cut < Rolled < Quick < Instant
Steel cut is the least processed, and also has the lowest GI rating.

I think it is better to look if it is a simple or a complex carb. Worrying about GI is just too much.

im kinda too lazy to even do that... i just look at if its either a carb or not! haha.... its pretty bad...
im kinda hindered since i got to the dining hall though.... but still, no excuses! bahh!
