If you think about it, cities are full of animals, dogs, cats, squirrels. I heard that pigeons and rats are not good because some of them have rabies but are there any safe meat to consume?

Hypothetically speaking.

Cool, I found a post that's ignored. a prefect place for me to ask this question.

If a tree falls in the forest and there is nobody around
does it make a sound?

How many leaves are on a tree?

this is where i live. they were talking about this on the news last nite.

Coyotes Walk Suburban Neighborhoods

An animal that used to be part of the Wild West is becoming a part of life in Brentwood, Bellevue and Hermitage.

Wildlife experts say coyotes are moving in and multiplying, and the best thing to do is get used to it.

When it comes to wildlife in the suburbs, the Stamatas thought their cocker spaniel and housecat were about it, but a houseguest from Canada thought otherwise.

“He says there's three coyoots running around the neighborhood. I didn't believe him,” said Hermitage Resident, Donna Stamates.

“I thought he was drinking too much Canadian beer. Turns out he was right,” said Hermitage Resident Tom Stamates.

Now, other neighbors have reported seeing coyotes in their Hermitage neighborhood.

“I am surprised. What do you do with a coyote?” asked Donna Stamates.

It's a question Doug Markham with the Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency gets all the time.

“They're here in Hermitage. They're in Bellevue, Belle Meade, well, maybe not Belle Meade, but we get calls from everywhere about coyotes,” said Markham.

This video was taken in Percy Warner Park a few years back.

“It's something we're all going to have to learn to live with because they're not going away,” said Markham.

Experts say unless the coyotes get too close, they're no threat to people. But they may see small animals, even pets, as prey.

“Bring your pets in at night if they're small and it worries you, because they are predators,” said Markham.

So the Stamatas are keeping their fence closed and eyes open.

You can pay to have to have coyotes trapped, but Doug Markham says each one trapped will just replaced by another.

If the coyotes aren't causing problems just take simple precautions like bringing pets inside, and never leave an infant unattended. Also don't put table scraps in outside garbage.

There are different theories about how coyotes got to Middle Tennessee. Some biologists think they simply migrated here. Others think they moved in as competing predators.

I would be really scared if coyotes lived in a city, those things are dangerous. Then again, in the beginning of the last century a tiger escaped from a zoo in Austria or Germany and lived for months in a big city and people rarely saw it. It is believed that big animals, like hippos, hyenas and eagles live in cities throughout the world but they hide well.
