I just watched an info commercial on this guy and it was one of the best I have seen. The guy actually knows alot and gives very solid info. The book would be worth buying. His diet is based on supps that help mitochondria.
Acetyl L Carnitine, ALA, Gla, Co Q10.
He also stresses enough sleep, plenty of water and moderate exercise.

I agree.... I have read his work previously and he gives good information on nutrition - stressing all the correct things (lean meats, fruits, vegetables, healthy fats, nuts/seeds, legumes and wholegrains) as well as eathing regularly and drinking lots of water (and green tea).

I think that it is one of the more balance and healthy 'fad diets' that people could use.

(he has also gone on to do an 'exclusive' skin care line based on the same information... ?? It is meant to be very good but I can't comment specifically on it...)

**cough** You boys?? So I guess I can't comment then??

Seriously though - Although the general info is good I am not sure it would get him "in shape".

Yes, he gives sound information in regards to food choices and he does promote exercise and lots of water, but whether or not it is enough exercise, and whether or not the suggestions on food are used to create a reasonable and effective diet I do not know...

You could go to the website if you wanted more information...There are some reviews on his book here... Some of them are really positive while others are.. well... not so good. There is also some information on ediet.com.

not that this is relevant to his professional expertise or what not, but coincidentally, this was on the NY Post today about him:

emma leigh, sorry i didnt specify, my dad used to lift, he has unfortunatly grown into his 51 year old body with a nice belly. I was hoping that this would give him a kick in the ass and get him lifting again. I ment it as a great starter. He doesnt listen to me when i tell him this stuff, but he will listen to a doctor. Everything he was telling me tonight about what the doctor said , I have been doing for my body. like gluatime and he talked about omega fatty's and such. he was impressed that I knew what that was. (thanks to IM) i am going to get him the book for christmas
