Morning appetite

I'm really not a morning person.... at least when concerning food.
I'm trying to gain weight, and I get down to my dining hall just after I wake up, but I'm finding it really hard to get a lot of food into me..... I'm just do not have an appetite in the morning and usually don't until like 1h30mins after I wake up.... I'm considering two options...

Eat as many CARBS as I can, then come back and take a protein shake with 25g protein and ~35g carbs.... which is followed by a workout ~45 mins later

Wake up an hour early, have a small shake, 25g protein, 25g carbs, and some peanut butter, and then go to the dining hall about an hour later and try to eat some more before my workout..... what do you guys think?

today i ate some food early, and came back and had a shake... it went rather easy..... but i can easily wake up early if that would be better

are you just starting? I also used to not be able to eat breakfast, and when I did.. I had some uh.. problems. Well I got on routine and now breakfast is my favorite meal of the day!

Shake would be fine just... That is usually what I do first thing in the am.

Shake oats Milk and Fish oil

The liquid meal will hang around in the stomach for a shorter period, making it easier to digest meal 2 (the solid food), possibly, depending how much pb we're talking here.

Mind you, with that said....try it for one week one way and switch it around the next and see how you feel about it. Don't think there's a good way to get feedback on this without trying both ways out.

ive been trying to eat breakfast for years now.... and its weird how i just wake up with no appetite.... im in love with lunch and dinner.... i go nuts there

ill try that though... with a shake in the morning and then food after.... and maybe switch it up in a week

it might be cuz ure eating a heavy meal before u go to sleep i have same problem n whne i dont eat a few hours before sleep just a protein shake i find my appetite is normal in morning

i do eat a good amount usually before i go to bed.... hmm
