firstly RTD's, what is the biological value of the protein going to be like from them? i know you shouldn't keep whey in water too long or it will degrade, so would that mean that RTD's are an inferior method of nutrition, or are they just as good as any other MRP/protein shake? does anyone in here use them with good results? or have any detailed info on them? secondly Protein Bars, now, i know there are some crap ones out there, full of sugar and all types of crap, but how about the decent ones, such as CNP's Pro-XS bars or EAS' Myoplex Carb-Sense (both of which only have about 2-3g of sugars in them, and around 4-5g of sat fats), are these okay? again, how will absorption of the protein be? they obviously need to be heated to some extent in the production process, would this effect the protein quality much, if at all? i understand in an ideal world we'd have diets that didn't consist of these sorts of things, but i'm always on the go and munching on a protein bar or slamming an RTD down is so convienient, even more so that eating a sandwich or mixing up an MRP (which would probably be a slightly better option), but what i'm really asking is if the nutrition from these products is good clean nutrition? (quality protein, and carbs) and not absolute junk? thanks |
