I could not do 95 for one rep!

Posted by: silencer

I think it will vary dramatically with the age people started...

I did my first Bench Press when I was 15 (possibly just 16, not sure) I did a 70Kg Press for 2 reps (154lbs)

Posted by: Michael (Dj)

im naturally big anyway ... i think i started when i wer 16 and i did 75Kg for 5 reps

Posted by: TJ Cline

100 lbs for 3 reps, I was in 6th grade

Posted by: The Monkey Man

Idk

Posted by: Steele20

i couldn't max 100 in 9th grade

Posted by: CowPimp

I did 135 several times. I can't remember an exact number though... Maybe like 5-7 times or something.

Posted by: Lee Delroy

I benched in the facinity of 300lbs when I first started.

Posted by: BigDyl

Posted by: Yanick

i don't know, but i know it was definitely over 135, as two months into lifting i hit 185 and was happy as hell

Are you related to NEW_IN_THE_GAME????

Posted by: Myztek

First time I benched was in 10th grade, Age 15. I could only do 100 lbs for one rep when I started. I managed to get up to a 160 max in 3 months. I guess that's a pretty decent advancement.

Obviously the sarcasim flew right over your head which doesn't surprise me...

People were pointing out that "strong" and "smart" lifters lift in around that weight range.

I was detesting the Fact that Lee Delroy, who pretty much posts Crap 100% of the time Didn't lift 300lbs with his first bench press attempt.

Posted by: myCATpowerlifts

When I was in 8th grade, I did 95 x 3 for my first time.

how lame and stupid does a person have to be to post bullshit spam on an internet forum for entertainment....I would consider german shepards or apes to be a higher form of life...

On a related note. Less than 3 years ago I was doing sets of 8 with 95lbs. Today my last set was 230 for 4+1

Should be higher but I went on a pretty long break from the gym at some point in those 3 years.

Posted by: Squaggleboggin

I was doing three sets of eight with 135 as a workout in the eighth grade. Before that I don't really remember.

Posted by: muscle_01

when i was 13 i could only do 70lbs 1rep....by the way i maxed today and i got 190lbs lol

I find a lot of humor in foremans post...and when he's offerring advice it's almost always on point...

Posted by: silencer

Well then... I just disagree.

He's generally not too bad a guy, but his sarcastic comments on threads of mine were not called for at all...so imo he's a bit of a cock. But whatever..

Posted by: TheCurse

weighed 87 pounds in 9th grade
i remember wandering into the weight room and pressig the bar with a 2 1/2 on each side.

Posted by: KentDog

In 7th grade, I think I was benching 75 pounds for reps on the Smith machine. Somewhere down the line in 8th grade, I got myself a bench and was doing sets at 80 pounds freeweight.

Posted by: Mudge

85 pounds, 11 years old.

Posted by: Andy_Massaro

i was in like 9th grade or something i did like 60 for like 5 reps hahaha

im in 10th grade now and can max out at like 100, not much of an improvement but still, im trying

Posted by: fletcher6490

I was 15, weighed around 115 and put up 135 for about 6 reps. around 3 months later I was maxing out at 185, then I quit. I did that same routine of working out for 3 months, maxing out at 185 and quiting for 8 months untill around 2 years ago when I worked out for like 5 months and maxed out at 205, where once again I quit. Now I have maintaned lifting for about 10 months and hope to continue for a long time.

Posted by: pengers84

5kg dumbells 12 reps 3 sets suck on that

Posted by: MACCA

I benched for the first time about four/five months ago and struggled with 100lbs now i can bench 200lbs its been my biggest achievement up the gym so far.

Posted by: BulkBoy

5 sets of 5 with 95 lbs. - dont remember before that

Posted by: BulkBoy

there is a 16 year old that goes to the same gym as me that can barely get up 95 lbs. once, judging by looks he weighs somewhere around 215-235
