What do you think about the split decision over the Silva/Arona fight? Personally I think Arona controlled him well enough with enough shots in the guard to get the win. But since Silva is a Japanese fav, they gave him the win.

Btw, Gomi is a beast.

And holy shit, did anyone see Fedor own Zulu? Jesus christ, it was over in 20seconds, round 1. Zulu is 6'5, 350, and Fedor is 6'0, 230...

Where are these fights played.....on PPV??

Best fighter ever:

He looks good but his huge flaw is that he is an arm puncher...no power in that

Foreman Fedor will knock out ANYONE he gets a shot in on. Bet on it.

Then if he is so tough and skilled why not stop fighting for 10,000 grand and jump into the boxing arena and get a 5,000,000 pay day......
Why................because a real athlete would KO him in one round!

Posted by: BoneCrusher

Get your numbers right bro. MOST boxers never make shit. A very small handful get any kind of living out of it. Most MMA fighters fight for the sport in it not the payday ... but MOST in the game make bank.

As far as who would win a match between a straight up boxer and an MMA fighter get real. Look into the sport before ya make such a broad statement ...

If Fedor is the top guy then he should be making 5 million a fight.....but he makes dick because the real fighters would KO him in one round.

Posted by: TJ Cline

And I have watched many MMA fighters try to box...............all were KO'd by bottom feeders.

Posted by: TJ Cline

Look into money.......before you talk out of your ass again.

Posted by: BoneCrusher

Tiger Woods would kick Michael Jordan's ass on the golf course. There is no real comparison between boxers and MMA fighters. Put an MMA guy in a boxing ring and it's gonna be a *Ding *Ding the winner by knock out is* the boxer most times and by the same token ya don't see any boxers that could get into an MMA ring and last long before he gets tapped out or knocked out. Example Bonjasky vs Frank Mercer ... 22 seconds. The training is sooooo much no where near the same.

Of course there are no $5,000,000 prizes in MMA. We are talking about a comparatively new sport here financially speaking.

There have been a few guys who made the change. Alessio Sakara http://www.boxrec.com/boxer_display....oxer_id=297539 and Jens Pulver http://www.boxrec.com/boxer_display.php?boxer_id=256828 both did well boxing. Here Marcus Davis covers it from the perspective of a pro that has been there all his life.

Lastly ... you don't need to be rude in a normal conversation ... that talkin' out your ass thing was uncalled for.

All I said was that he threw arm punches......then you got all defensive about him....I'm sure he is good at MMA, but he would be better if he learned how to throw a proper punch.

Fedor would 0wn any Pro boxer like they were a bitch.

This man would beat those bitches down easily!

Posted by: SuperFlex

I agree he'd win in stand up boxing no question... With that said there are a few people out there, maybe even somebody white, who could KO him as well. Nobody is unbeatable in and of themself...

Shit that pisses me off is racial profiling. Not to talk about myself but I'm as good as an athlete as I have EVER seen. Agility included..... I'm pretty much a white boy(some Indian)... Sometimes makes me wish I'd used it when I see the attitudes of certain folk. Trust me, I'm not a racist. But man oh man... Sometimes I'd love to shut many many mouths.....

Not saying that's your view but I just needed to vent...

Posted by: TJ Cline

Not even going to comment on the the "white" thing bro......but I'm talking about bare fisted and no rules......George would destroy all....!!!

I will. For some it's BS and you're star struck...

Foreman, if you download a bittorrent client like bitcomet from here:
and then go to this torrent site you can dload any ppv. Pride or UFC. If you have a DVD burner you could encode a DVD and watch it on ur DVD player. Thats how I watch every UFC ppv. You might have to wait a day for it to get posted on the net but it beats paying the money.

EDIT: For more info on bittorrent: bittorrent

Foreman has no ground game. He would be TKO'd in 26 seconds like Zuluzuhino.

Silva is the champ. If you want the belt, you have to BEAT the champ. You cant come in just as good as him(non KO) and walk away with the title.. it doesnt work like that.

Not at all, I have watched MMA for 12 years now and all of them have no stand up fighting skills....a true Olympic athlete like Foreman, Ali or whoever would make them look life fools.

This is an old subject that's just as bad as any religious topic ever is. The boxing fans cannot accept the thought that an MMA guy has a wider range of skills at his disposal. Elbows, knees, feet, submissions on the ground and standing, throws, and grappling are not covered in a boxer's training. Seeing a fighting style done as a spectator is not the same as having worked it till ya own it.

I absolutely agree that if a boxer is able to get in on most MMA fighters and deliver it's gonna be a short fight; however, any MMA fighter ... if he's a veteran ... knows that he's at a disadvantage on his feet vs a pro boxer so he turns it into a ground game where the boxer is gonna tap out, get knocked out, or get something broke off. Unless he gets choked out and refuses to tap ... nighty night.

Are there ANY boxers in the history of the fight game that have gone into MMA and done well?

Anyone know of any?

I am talking about top boxers training for MMA......there are several top pro boxers who were college wrestling champs or state high shcool champs.....Jeff Lacy is one and he is only 168 with heavyweight punchiung power......he would destroy all MMA guys under 170 easily.
So some have good ground work....and could build on it quickly to beat up the MMA guys easily.

Not that I know of......no money in that sport so why dump a 1,000,000 pay day to get 10,000????

But I have seen several MMA guys try to box in the pros and all were destroyed by low level guys.

You're stuck on that magic $10,000 number. Most MMA fights at the lower levels do earn that low number and less. Once a fighter has established himself those $10,000 days get replaced. Pride, UFC, and K-1 all pay better than that although UFC guys seem to get the short end of it. We lost BJ Penn for a good while because he was worth more to K-1 and Pride than he was to UFC ... that and he wasn't getting a shot at the tittle like he deserved.

MMA doesn't earn the same huge purses that boxing does ... but that is a good thing. Everyone knows boxing is a very corrupt game with guys like Don King running the show. Who knows who really would've won all the fights we've all seen that were obviously fixed. We don't have that so much in MMA ... although Sapp did get a few minutes to get his wind when he couldn't answer the bell to round 2 vs Ernesto in a K-1 match.

A true boxing fan can see who wins...all the top sports are corrupt, the same as all the other things in life.....But a Ko is a Ko.

Even if that stands true, which I doubt, that still doesn't mean athletics aren't important...

Btw, you left out Tyson.

How ya been SuperFlex?

Good match I'd like to see ... Tyson vs Minotauro Nogueira. Nogueira has a head made of brick that I think has a chance of offsetting whatever TYson has left for KO power. Tyson is brute strong and small enough to be a slippery bitch on the ground. We just need to tape back Nogueira's ears for safety.

Anyone else have one they'd like to see happen between boxers and MMA fighters?

Check this one out. I had to add the torrent ext to the end of the file name though.

You might need to register with that site too. Good stuff there though so it's worth going to.
