Texas vs. USC

I don't see a thread for this yet, so I decided to make one.

What are you thoughts/predictions, etc. on the game? I am from Texas so I am going for them, but I am worried about the game. Both teams have a high powered offense, and Texas has a better defense, but I hope it is good enough to stop Reggie Bush.

I hope it is a good one!!!!

USC will crush them.

There are at least 3 teams in the Sudan that would kill them.

I read about that

I don't like the Sudanese style of running the ball, it has to be really uncomfortable running with a ball up there.

I'm convinced that Dale likes penis.

We win....

Posted by: TJ Cline

The refs gave Texas the game......how sad to see a great game destroyed by bias refs.

You are gay because you suck on penis, it has nothing to do with football.

How so? I thought it was a helluva game! If anything I thought the refs gave a few marginal calls in favor of USC but regardless, Vince Young played one HELLUVA game.

WTF game did you see???

The forward latteral on one knee for a TD......do you think thats marginal???
Or The frist down cought on one knee.....is that marginal....and they got a TD after that play also.......wow!

Posted by: Pedigree

Marginal calls against/for both teams. Officiating in almost any sport sucks anymore.
Young was unstoppable. If he stays for another year he's crazy. His stock just went through the roof after that performance, especially getting the win.

Posted by: Witmaster

``We couldn't stop them when we had to,'' USC coach Pete Carroll told ABC Sports. ``The quarterback ran all over the place. He's a fantastic football player and was the difference.'' Source

Posted by: TJ Cline

Thats called a good sport.

Posted by: BoneCrusher

LOL ... Party here in Austin this week.

Get off the crack now!

free free free (usc) pic lol ya gotta love it unless you're a USC fan

What a great game. The TD by Texas was controversial but.........it was still a great game. That is how the BCS championship game is supposed to be. How freakin long has it taklen them to get it right?

Posted by: dougnukem

There is always going to be controversial calls in football. The game was amazing despite any "bad" calls. It also proved that the "great Texas D" was only great from playing the Big 12. This ended up being a shoot out. How many overtimes do you think it would have taken for one of the offenses to not score?

He will go nowhere in the NFL as a quarterback...Let me rephrase that, he will win as many Super Bowls as Dan Marino, and be lucky to win as many playoff games as Super Bowls.

I know one place I hope he goes......back to Texas for another year!

He should, so that way when his NFL career flounders, he will have a degree to fall back on. Too many college players pass up on degrees only to choke in the big dance.

anybody else think that Jay Cutley, yes Jay Cutler out of Vanderbilt will be the better pro than both Lienart and Young?

He will only win if he is on a good team with a good coach. He is a badass and has proven it many times. He needs to work on his consistency. Last night he was on fire, picking apart the defense with little effort.

I agree. Vince Young will go the way of Rodney Peete and Andre Ware.

Vince Young may not fair well in the NFL. However he will, when he decides to go, sign a deal worth in excess of 10 million dollars. That my friend is more money than anyone of us on this board will make in several years maybe even a lifetime. So to critisize his abilities on your part is somewhat fultile, because he is obvious good enough to consider options you will never have. Now, is he good enough? Only time will tell. He is however the top rated passer in the NCAA. Perhaps everyone has missed that point.

Not true. I have $11 million tucked in my sock as I type this.

Making all that money doesn't mean shit. Take a look at all the celebrities and sports players that end up wioth nothing because they don't know how to handle all that money. There are quite a few that end up filing for bankruptcy. Now, as far as my opinion on his skill, it's just that, an opinion. So you can take it with a grain of salt my friend. I just see a player similar to so many that have been "predicted" to be great, only to bite the big one once they play in the NFL. Personally, I do hope he succeeds, as another QB with the excitement he can bring would be great to watch!

Posted by: devildog88

I would like the oportunity to squander the amount of money that he is going to be offered.

Don't we all?

Posted by: Dale Mabry

I just whiped my ass with 10 million, I make that when I fart.

I think Texas won because of the East Coast bias.

Posted by: dougnukem

No, they won because USC sucks.

I don't think USC sucks, but Texas is better.

Dale for once i totally agree with ya man ... UT's offensive passing domination had nothing to do with it. You are always soooo right on with your perspectives ... lol.

Awaits execution.
