Any advantages to cross training ?
doing 1 set of each excercize alowing 3 minutes between next set ?

Are you referring to supersets, in which multiple exercises are done in succession without rest between separate exercises until each is done?

Sounds like circuit training to me, which I think is a great idea. There isn't much else you can do to match the conditioning effects that circuit training has on the body.

So, exercise A set 1, rest, exercise A set 2, rest. Or exercise A set 1, exercise B set 1, rest. Or what? One set each exercise w/rest b/t sets sounds just like normal training...

bench 1 set- 30 second rest,
leg curls 1 set- rest 30 sec.,
mil press 1 set ,rest
leg extions, rest
back to bench

Yeah, there are definite advantages. Increased hormonal response and enhanced cardiovascular conditioning come to mind.
