Is sweating synonymous with a good workout?

I'm just wondering as when I do cardio workout (Treadmill jogging) I tend to sweat quite alot. However, when I do a workout on my inflatable exercise ball, I find that I hardly sweat at all.
I know this seems random, but does it seem the more you sweat, the better the workout is?

I'm just wondering if I should up the ante on my 'ball' workout.

whats the goal of your "ball" workout?

You sweat in response to increased body temperature. Although it doesn't necessarily indicate a good workout, you have to define good workout. Usually, the more metabolic the work is the more your body temperature increases and therefore the more you sweat. I sweat more doing my cardio shit than lifting, and I sweat more from squatting and deadlifting than bicep curls.
