Top 10 Most Hated Players

It's funny that Mino has been posting all these top 10's, b/c this morning's sports section had a top 10 most hated athletes part which I guess will be in the upcoming GQ magazine.

I guess the list comes from other players' opinions, not fans. After the 1st two, i don't remember the correct order, so they are not in any specific order after TO and Bonds. With every name, they'd give a short description of why their teammates/the rest of the league hates them so much.

1. T.O.

2. Barry Bonds

3. Kurt Busch

4. Curt Schilling

5. Kobe Bryant

6. Bonzi Wells

7. AJ Perzienski

8. Danny Fortson

9 Some tennis guy

10. Phil Mickelson

My top 10: (of all time...since that list^ is from today's players)

in no specific order:

1. Reggie Miller
2. Bill Laimbeer
3. Alonzo Mourning
4. Allen Iverson
5. Alex Rodriguez
6. Kareem Garcia
7. Aaron Boone
8. Chuck Knoblauch
9. Mike Vanderjagt
10. NY Yankees as a team in general

If you watch his old fights, most of ther time the crowd is cheering for the other guy.

Thanks, I didn't realize that. I'm not really a boxing fan, so I only pick up on tidbits here and there. Mostly what I remember is Howard Cosell saying what a great fighter Ali was.

Randy Moss, Dennis Rodman, Keyshawn Johnson, Roberto Alomar, Jose Canseco, Deion Sanders, John Starks, Eric Lindros, Ron Artest, Jaromir Jagr...

(Those aren't neccesarily mine, but I get the idea that they've all been very disliked in one way or anothe)

You may have forgotton but in Boston Bucky Dent's name was changed to Bucky "Fucking" Dent.

I'll toss in Jack Tatum, Claude Lemieux, Patrick Roy and Bill Romanowski. All cheap shot artists, except Roy, who was just really good and arrogant.

Edit: I forgot Eli Manning. He and his daddy jeopardized the integrity of the NFL draft and I will always loath him for that.

people dislike him as a person because the guy never shuts up, hes very conceited, selfish, arrogant, ignorant, etc.

infact, even i, can't stand the guy as a person. however his baseball talent speaks for itself, so i manage to deal with him.

he's johnny damon or kevin millar except more talented.

That's how I also feel about him, he's a true attentionm whore.....but damn can he play.

exactly. i will forever be partial and love the guy, afterall he was one of the 25, possibly the most important one.

i just find it funny that other people notice it outside of boston to make him the fourth most hated player in sports. i mean that list isn't really well thought out.
