What is your opinion about ketchup? I am one of those people you see eats ketchup with anything and everything. But i am serious about lifting and my diet now so is ketchup hurting my diet?

Ketchup is pure sugar. So, it would be deterimental to your diet.

Then again, it depends how much you use. If you use it sparringly it probably wouldn't hurt you. It depends how strict your diet is.

Most serving sizes are 2 tbsp. That's something along the lines of 30 calories, 8 carbs. You'll die if you eat it. Simply die.

If you REALLY eat heaps of it then it is not going to hurt your diet if you factor it in to your totals for the day...

If you are only having a total of 1-2 tbs a day then it is hardly going to matter....

Wow - that even put it in ketchup over there! Geezz... Over here tomato sauce (our equivalant) is basically tomato puree + salt +/- sugar (depending on if you get the light stuff)...

Anyone tried the Spicy Ketchup from Aha! Product? I came across it at Costco as part of the Costco Roadshow program and it tastes pretty good and doesn't appear to have high fructose corn syrup.
