Egg Whites Question

Ok, this is probably a really stupid question, but hey im in process of learning a lot in a short time. I'm new to the whole perfect food eating and whatnot in order to loose fat safely and promote lean mass gains. I currently just take 4 eggs scamble them and cook them as a meal during the day. Looking at the dietery facts each egg is 71% of daily cholesterol intake, wow. I'm willing to try this whole egg whites concept considering it has no fat/cholesterol and very little carbs. Do i just seperate the yolk(orange part) from the egg white, then cook it in a slighly oiled frying pan? I was looking into buying Lana's Eggwhites 8.5lb bucket of egg whites, but 53.99$ is kinda pricey. Any suggestions..once again probably stupid and obvious question, but hey i'm learning only 18..

I just get liquid egg whites at the grocery store... It's like $5.00 for 2 cartons of 8 oz I think.

Good to know you can buy it like that in stores, i will check Stracks or Jewel soon. Anyone else have better suggestions on where to buy and whatnot, keep posting.

Do i just cook it in a slighly oiled frying pan until it turns white and looks done?

I just crack the egg open, let it fall into the pan and scoop the yolk outwith the fragmented shell.

Its easy and works almost perfectly

i separate the yolk from the white n leave 1 in out of four eggs for an omelet.

How To Separate Eggs

Cold eggs are easier to separate. Gently crack the egg open in the center, either hitting it gently with a knife, or using a convenient counter edge. Hold the egg upright and gently pull off the top half of the shell.

You now have three options:

Hold your hand over the egg white bowl, pour the egg into your hand and let the egg white ooze through your fingers while retaining the yolk in your hand -- a very easy, albeit un-elegant, way to separate eggs. Make sure to wash your hands first.

Over the egg white bowl, gently pour the contents between the two shell halves, allowing the egg whites to pour out in the process, leaving just the yolk in the shell.

Buy a handy-dandy gadget called an egg separator, which looks like a small measuring cup. The egg yolk is retained in the cup while the whites are allowed to drip through.

Hard boil them then remove the yolk.
