hey, a routine i'm doing calls for reverse hyperextensions. i can't find a suitable place to do these at my gym. any suggestions for using pieces of equipment to do this exercise, or alternatives to reverse hypers? thanks.

do them inverted on a 45 degree hyper bench.

ok that could work, thanks. only thing is, the hyperextension bench at my gym is ghetto, and it might jab in to me if i try to do it that way. i will check it out tho. any other suggestions if that doesnt work?

lie face down on a bench with your legs off of it (at your hips). Your knees will have to bend since the bench is close to the floor. From there just extend and perform the reverse hyper.

This is what I end up doing. Although I would probably have to get bands to add resistance.

Dale's idea is an interesting one though...

Dale's idea works the best I have found. I tie jump stretch bands around the bottom of the hyper bench and put the back of my feet through them to add resistance.

I hold a dumbbell between my ankles. I have to figure out a way to secure it with over 40lbs, though. I am thinking tying a theraband tightly just above it on my shin will protect the nads.

find a gym mat and throw it on top for extra padding
