I have been drinking oats mixed with whey protein and creatine after hard workouts. Is this the best thing to take? I try to stay away from pre mixed drinks as most do upset my stomach. I have tried the Post workout powdered supplements also to have it mess up my stomach. I have made gains using the oats and protein combo but not all of the weight I have added is muscle. What do you guys think I should use? I train hard 3-4 times a week and my goal is to gain muscle. In the last six months I went from 160 to about 169lbs.

What you have is great. I would just add 1/2 a banana and make the shake with skim milk.

I actually am putting in a whole banana. Is that too much? Should I do more cardio while using this p/w meal? I have put on some fat..

Would Cell Mass be good for me in this situation instead of the oats?

First - 9 pounds in 6 months is good, slow gain and unless you are doing something really stupid it is likely that most of it could will be muscle... But no, you will never get 100% muscle gains - so there will be fat there.

In regards to PWO shake - I am a fan of a mixture of carb sources and I don't like using oats alone. Things like hgh glucose fruits (banana), skim milk, thinly ground oats (quick oats) and, if you are so inclined, dextrose powder (or lollies such as sweet tarts) are all examples of good carbs to add to a PWO shake.

As to 'how much' you should add - it depends on your weight/size, goals, BF% and aspects of your diet (what type of diet you are following) so as to whether or not a whole banana is too much I really can not say...

For the cell mass - cell mass is creatine, not a carb... So using it instead of the oats is like substituting a fat for a protein - they are completely different. Both carbs and creatine have a role to play and so you can't take out one for the other.

My bf percentage is 12 and I try to kep away from fats as much as possible. I do cheat on Sundays but I do not engorge on fats as sweets. I am 31 years of age and I do cardio about twice a week. I don't smoke or consume any type of alchoholic beverages. I do not want to be necessarily ripped as my goal is gain as much muscle as I can. I am only 5'5 in stature though.

Healthy fats such as olive oil, natural peanut butter, avacado, nuts should not be avoided.
