Is there a big difference between db flyes and using the butterfly attachment? I can really load up the weight on the butterfly attachment but if I go real heavy with the dbs I put alot of stress on my shoulders especially when the weight is in the lowest position.

when it comes to flys I prefer machines and cables, b/c they apply constant tension. I feels a lot easier to isolate you chest with these...
but isolation might not be your intention

I am certainly no expert, but I feel like DB flies do way more for me. When I switched to them I deffinately saw a huge improvement pretty quickly.

I tried DB flys for the first time in a while last week... and I am never doing them again. I feel you can really fuck up your shoulders with all the stress it applies to them.

The butterfly machine is the worst....great way to destroy your shoulders.
