My wife received her leather weight belt last week with one problem. The damn thing stiffer than a board! Does anyone have any recommendations on how to form/soften it up?

Thanks

run hot water over it and keep bending it back and forth

WHEN i had one years ago the gym owner suggested using baby oil rubbed into it regularly - worked back then.

Baseball players use a special oil on there gloves that makes it softer but not too soft.

my recommendation is you stick it in the closet and don't use it at all. doesn't answer the question though, LOL.

Another use is as a chew toy for the dogs. To use or not to use is your choice, I would not use it. However, if you are going to use it, I would not use any snake oils or the like to soften it up. If you need the support, I would think the stiffer the better.

Throw it on the floor, and then........JUMP ALL OVER IT.....thats much better now.
