Well I weight like 145pounds, and am 5' 10" or there abouts. I wanna bulk up to get to about 180-185pounds.

I eat breakfast, then for tea or something I have like an apple and banana or something, sometimes just biscuits or chips (crisps). Then I have a big cooked lunch, normally quite a bit of rice with beef/steak/lamb/chicken. I then have tea in the afternoon, like the same as the morning tea. I try to workout at like 5pm or so. Then another big dinner with dessert.

I bought a protein shake, EAS 100% Whey. I have had other people tell me to take the shake about 30mins before workout, others tell me in the morning when I wake up and in the evening before I go to bed, still others say 30mins after the workout. When should I be taking this shake?

If the tea time meals (like at 10am and 4pm) are not enough calories or whatever, I can try to increase the intake but I don't know how. I have got a MRP, Muscle Fuel from USN. Should I start taking this at 10am and 4pm as well?

I have also read that having some (disgusting) cottage cheese just before bed is good cause it will help your body to repair itself while you sleep or something, and a shake doesn't digest slow enough to last the whole night.

I don't know if you need them, but here are some pics of me right now.

Cool. So you have 3 protein shakes, 1 in the morning when you rise. Another just after you workout. And then 1 more just before bed. Wouldn't it be better to have some cottage cheese before bed or not?

How old are you? What are flax oil caps for?

Cottage cheese is better than a mostly whey protein shake before bed. You can get protein powder that is mostly or even 100% casein which would be good too.

So how much cottage cheese? Any ideas on how to make it taste better? Mix it with something... ?

I hate cottage cheese. I can't stand it. I take in 30-40g of casein powder before bed.

I'd get some cottage cheese with some fat in it. If you're really needing calories though, milk and whey before bed is not a bad idea. I just don't want to be drinking that much milk to get enough casein in right before bed.

To me whatever amount of cottage cheese to give you 30-40g of protein, and some nuts and a few fish oil caps would be ideal before bed.

Well I just had some cottage cheese. Its quite nice. I had like 4 teaspoons full, then had about 10 crackers with the stuff piled on it...

Don't see why everyone hates this stuff. It doesn't taste bad.

Same here, unless they're talking about the fat free kind, that is DISGUSTING... If you can get 1 or 2% it doesn't taste bad at all... Though I guess it depends on the brand too maybe.
