The Seahawks failed to match the offer sheet LG Steve Hutchinson signed with the Vikings, which is a damm shame b/c the Hawks bent over backwards to keep this guy here and happy, including renegotiating walter Jones' contract so Hutchinson would've been the highest paid guard on the team, which is sayin something. Anyways I thought this click would stay together and continue to be the best offensive line in the NFL. Well now he goes to a mediocre viking team with and even more mediocre offense, instead of staying on a team that was in the super bowl last year, go figure?!

On a good Seahawks note however, Julian Peterson has agreed to a deal so we pick up a great linebacker, and with any luck they can strike a deal for Abraham, that is if he doesn't go to Atlanta which he has expressed interest in...

Yep, sad to see him go, but
1) that is just too much money for the left side of the line.
2) Peterson and maybe Abraham.... nice!

I love what the hawks are doing on defense.

I have heard Hutch is a "money guy."

Not sure if that is fair or not.

It is funny, owners say this alot. Name one owner that is not a money guy.

I guess I just mean he is more interested in money than some other players.

If it weren't all about the money, you would not see some of the signings. I mean, why would Edge go from a SB contender to Arizona?

Sure, if it were me and a 5-11 team offered ME a ton more money to go, I'd go. But if if it were just a little bit more cash, I'd stay where I had a chance to win.

Oh, I hear you Pepper, I think it is fine when you or I talk about it. I definitely would want to be on a contender and would take significantly less to go there. I mean, I don't really need $8 million a year, $5 mill would suffice. I just find it funny when the owner of the Eagles complained that TO wanted more money. Meanwhile, the Eagles are one of the more profit-generating teams in the league and they were $10 million under the salary cap. Which is why the were managing it from last place in the division last year.
