If both are done properly, and weight is increased within a reasonable pace, there should be no problem (unless maybe you have a previous injury)... Just don't do either behind the neck...

It's bad technique with any exercise that hurts you, not the poundage. Like mentioned above, nothing should go behind your head.

there is really no dangerous exercise if you use light weights and dont try impressing people by lifting more than you can handle
