Think the only way to make dips harder is to add weight?? Do full bodyweight dips with a bonus... Start in the usual position between two bars, dip your body down to a safe level but very slowly (a four count) then rise up again but instead of stopping at the top continue to lift your knees up into your chest, using your abs, pulling your butt up as high as possible (you will be leaning back slightly at this point) then pause at the apex and return slowly to your starting point. Do 10 or so like that without stopping. These really hit your traps, abs, nicely and will totally fry your triceps. If you are King Kong and flexible enough, try to straighten your legs at the apex of the move. Good luck! These are killer and are nice finishers to any great dipping session. Enjoy. Try a few and tell me if you like them. |
