who is going to win the two man events Tito Ortiz Vs. Forrest Griffin , and Andrei Arlovski Vs. Tim Sylvia ??

I say its going to be the under dog Forrest Griffin and for the other match Andrei Arlovski.

Posted by: BigDyl

Tito and Tim are gh3y.

True Story, ever since he got caught with anabolics in his bloodstream, he's been flabby. Although strength and bodyfat don't really matter to a certain extent... look a fedor.

Posted by: TBAR

I voted Forrest, but I'll be very surprized if he wins! For the other fight, I just don't think Sylvia is in good enough shape if it takes more than a round?!?

Posted by: Goodfella9783

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say Sylvia is gonna KO Arlovski, setting the stage for a 3rd fight. In the other, I think Forrest is the fresher of the 2 and will win decision.

Posted by: MCx2

Forrest has no chance....

Posted by: tucker01

Yeah I don't think Forrest will win.... but who knows.

Appearently Sylvia is entering in his best shape. But I still think Arloski will win. Should be some good fights

Posted by: MCx2

I think both of those fights are pretty one sided. Diaz and Sherk should make for an interesting fight tho....

Hopefully Diaz tears him apart. He's lost his last 2 fights. Sherk definately has the strength advantag in this one.

Evan Tanner is back for 59 too.

i couldn't have said it better myself! I think the only reason why i am going with forrest is cause i like his hole approch toward this fight a lot better then beach boy. He is keeping to himself and letting the Cal beach boy do all the sh*t talking. I would love to see forrest K.O. him in the frist round but, we all know thats not going to happen.

Yeah, we all saw how well that worked out for Shamrock...

Posted by: Srt4Miller

He is old and never should have taken that fight. Now if he was back in the same shape he was on 5-7 years ago that would have been a good fight!!!!

Posted by: TJ Cline

Ufc is fake

Yeah I'm hopin Shamrock whoops him and can move on.

Posted by: tucker01

Maybe if it was a fake as boxing then it would get more coverage

$39.. Way to much

Posted by: goandykid

I voted for Forrest but out of sheer hope, and I think Sylvia will get dominated again. When does Hughes fight Royce Gracie?

Agreed.

UFC 60 I think. Probably end of May/early June.

Posted by: JordanMang

The Gracie and Hughes fight will be the best fight you'll see in a while. Matt Hughes is a tough son of a bitch, and I'd say Gracie probably gonna have a war with this kid.

True Story

I forget, do these things typically last more than 2 hours, I am always shitfaced by the end. Sometimes I am drunk too.

Yeah I heard Hughes wasn't as good when he was 12

Nah but does that guy still fight MMA?

Your instructor taps nothing but your ass.

Sources tell me Tim Sylvia owns the Heavyweight Belt

I guess Tim's win was legit, although he outweighed him by 20 LB's or so with an 8 inch reach advantage, and it was a lucky right. That being said, I don't dispute his win.

I will have to see the tito versus griffin fight to know for sure who should have won. Sherdog had Forrest winning the fight @ 10-9 tito, 10-9 griffin, 10-9 griffin, split descision, and sherdog is usually right.

Tim looked alot leaner, but still fat. Arlovsky knowked his ass down hard, but he recovered, Sylvia was out but managed to somehow recover. Arlovsky seemed to agree with the stoppage.

Tito destroyed Forrest in the first round, and seemed to lay back the rest of the fight. I still thought he won it handily, though.

Here's the Sylvia/Arlovski fight:

Posted by: BigDyl

That was the worst TKO i've ever seen. I don't agree with that at all. Why didn't he stop it when Arlovski knocked him down???

Oh and I think once you get to a certain point as a striker, you need to evolve. Go for a fucking takedown.

Yeah that was huge punch Arlovski landed on Sylvia you could actually hear it clearly on the video. Looked like Sylvia wasn't gonna get up from that. Ref must have seen something where Sylvia recovered.

I do agree with the stoppage though because Sylvia hurt AA and basically got his back and pounded away at the side/back of his head while AA did nothing to defend himself.

Arlovski needed to roll, do a forward sumersault, and then spin so sylvia was in his guard, then get a damn armbar or triangle...uma plata even.

Yeah he needed to do something, he barely moved. I've never seen him that hurt before. Kudos to Sylvia for the way which he won. Reminded me of Trigg/Hughes 2.

Posted by: musclepump

That was a helluva crack!

Posted by: MCx2

Did anyone see Arlovski arguing with the decision? I sure didn't. If I thought I got an unfair decision you would have heard me complaining.

For the Ortiz/Griffin fight, Round one was an easy Ortiz victory, round 2 easily went to Griffin, and in round 3 all that happened was an Ortiz takedown. Looks like 2 rounds to 1 for Ortiz to me....

If I think you're not gonna be a hit-n-run artist I have some invites to the best site out there for downloading sporting events ... especially MMA stuff (thanks Dg).

PM me and I will send you the invite if I see from your history here at IM that you are worthy.

Far as this UFC goes it was kinda odd to me that Tito didn't do his flurry on Griffin. Tito loves that gnp but he started out back in the day as an animal with fast hands. I'm starting to wonder if Dana White is crooked "Hey Tito you need more UFC fights and we need Griffin to look good ... you can win but just barely". For those of ya who were around when they became crooked ... I'm starting to get that PKA vibe from the UFC events.

Shirk won mainly cuz Nic Diaz is a bitch ...

Big Tim got lucky ... mainly that he is not in pride. He couldn't even make the top 10 in Pride. No defense, no ground skills, poor motor skills, and no chin. He is big and strong ... so are many of the guys here at IM. Size and power doesn't make us UFC quality fighters ... the UFC of old mind ya.

Lesser ranked Hunt would destroy Silva.

Vs. Fedor??? Whaahahahahahahaaaahaaaaahaaaa ...

I like Even Tanner ... the way he stuck that flying triangle and held it after getting pounded was fricken awesome to watch. Once the fight is over Tanner is always a class act win or lose.

Amen. He's the man. I wish he could have edged out a win against Rich Franklin. In fact, I wouldn't mind seeing that fight again. He's the only one who has given Franklin somewhat of a fight recently.

Wow I couldn't agree with you more.

Although Fedor pwn'd my man nog, Fedor WAS in danger a couple of times when nog had him, and then the bell rang.

Fedor was saved by the bell in that one totaly ...

Nog vs Sapp was one of the best David vs Goliath fights I've ever seen. Sapp SLAMMED Nog several times then pounded his head with his football size hands. Nog took it all and threw in that arm bar like he was submiting Barney Fife.
