I'm 29 years old, 5'10" weighing in at a skinny 126lbs. My goal is to be around 140lbs+ (ideal body weight). I'm not asking to be a bodybuilder, but just fill in my clothes better and have better definition especially arms. My motivation? My girlfriend of 5 years broke up with me. I do want to get her back, but in the meantime, I decided to do something for myself to get all this hurt and anger out.

I just started taking a GNC brand weight gain supplement, along with eating more eggs, (4x/day) along with lunch and dinner. I'm keeping a log and so far, I'm averaging at about 4000 calories per day and 120g of protein. I hope this is enough? I work as a medstudent so it's tough to eat 6x a day.

Just started taking GNC brand creatine monohydrate today with water. I figure this is a great way to get my 8 cups of water each day. I'm loading, just finished taking 5g this AM, and will take it again until I get 20g per day for the next 7 days. Since I'm in loading phase, does it really matter when I take it? Or must it really be taken an hour preworkout or immediately after workout?

Is it okay to mix the creatine with the same weight gain supplement or do I need to take them separately?

My workout routine (just started Thursday) consisted of bicep dumbbell curls, forearm curls and shoulder. I don't have a bench yet but will look into getting one this weekend so I can start with chest. Today, I'll be doing squats to work on my quads while I rest my arms.

Basically, any suggestions or answers to my questions would be GREATLY appreciated. I wish I had done this sooner instead of playing video games and watching tv all the time. I feel so great right now!

Not being a wise ass but start by reading all the stickies in the diet/nutrition forums as well as the weight training forum. Get a solid clean diet down and a decent workout routine then come post any further questions.

Best of luck to ya man!
