PostWork Out..Help...

Ok guys i dunno if this is in the right section if not please feel free to move it..OK i have a q. about post workout..i have cell-tech and nitro-tech before u give me shit for havin muscletech they both were givin to me for free..ok back on topic..well it says to take celltech right after work out and 20 min later take nitrotech..i am 16 and weigh 160..each scoop of protein is 20 grams should i boost it up to 40 with two scoops? and then after all that said how long should i wait before i eat because i hate being hungry and i am tryin to gain weight..(another quick q. i have procomplex gainer would it be a good idea to take before i go to bed?

You could use 2 scoops of protein powder or 1 and a half. 30 -40 grams is good for your size. Eat again 60 - 90 min. after.

I don't know about a weightgainer before bed. If you're an extreme ectomorph (have a hard time gaining weight and muscle) then it might be alright. You decide. If you start putting on too much fat then that should be the first thing to change. Something with less carbs and made up of mostly casein protein with some healthy fats might be better before bedtime.

Protein shakes are fine before bed as long as there is enough fat to hold you over for the night or its a casien protein powder. I was always more fond of a meal right before bed b/c I sleep better on a full stomach.

Sorry I can't comment on the nitro or celltech stuff never used and never have I looked into it to be honest with you.

You could also post your diet and maybe we could help you out a little bit more in regards to recommending anything for you.

Yeah protein shakes are good, just not 100% whey protein shakes they digest too fast. Something like cottage cheese is good to eat but you want to get a little fat in there. Depending on the fat of the cottage cheese, a tiny bit of nuts, some flax oil or fish oil caps might help.

Cell tech is sugar and creatine. There are some people who will only take protein shakes which I don't agree with but there is NOBODY that drinks only carbs after their workouts, except for you. Everyone needs protein when they're done.

Post workout you need more than just protein .. you need some carbs! Espically if your trying to gain weight ..

Go for .5G of carbs x Your Desired LBM and around .25 x your LBM in protein

So somethign like
Cup of Skim milk
Scoop of whey
+/- Rolled oats
+/- High glucose fruit
+/- Dextrose/ Maltodextrin

Should be fine.
Then around an hour afterwards follow it up with a solid meal Of some Protein, Carbs, and Healthy fats.
You need to take advantage of your workouts .. Most of your carbs and calories should be focused around when your most active .. the gym!

Don't drink the weight gainer before bed .. just don't drink it period. Unless of course your goals are to put on alot of fat during this bulk ..
Like was said and shake is alright .. so long as it's casein Powder, don't use whey ..
Idealy Your going to want something like 1% Cottage Cheese, Some type of fat (fish oil, nuts, PB etc.) +/- some fiber (Pysllium seed husks).

YES, and cell tech has 30g of protein included in the ingredients. Besides, he was asking what is best and if he should be taking the two together. So stop with the assumptions.

OK..thanks for everyones input...(Deadbolt..My diet to tell u the truth is not anything set it stone..i have read and read on here all of the stickies and jodies post and all and i cant figure that shit out i dunno so all i do is eat as much as i can when ever i can..) and what is High glucose fruit..and what is glucose? lol...sorry..and the dextrose is in my celltech..and i take that right after w/o

Why not just eat good wholesome food !!!!!!! I think everyone gets carried away with all the supps. If you want to gain weight....EAT!!!!!

I like a protein shake once or twice a day for conveinece sake and daily creatine, but besides that, I strive for real food. A chicken breast or egg whites or steak or cottege cheese has to be a lot better than some powder.

Just my humble opinion
