I have heard egg whites have lots of lean protein and I wanna try this out.
So how do you guys cook it?.. Here is what i was thinking so far.

I am going to boil 4 eggs, seperate the yolk from the white. Eat the white with a little salt on (is salt good or bad in this case?). Eat one egg yolk(boiled ofcourse) from the 4.

^ is that good?. what do guys think. how do you guys cook it?,

that is fine.

I usually crack mine and sperate the yolk and then cook the whites in a pan.

egg whites only have 3.5g protein (for one large egg) so be prepared to eat a lot of them!

3.5g Nice. well i had 7 egg white boiled . Thanks p-funk

I buy egg whites and fry them with olive oil and sometimes butter.

5-6 eggs, only two of the yolks, with salsa mixed in, cooked like normal eggs in a skillet. that and a hash brown has been my main breakfast for years.

6 whites, 1 whole scrambled with salsa is fucking awesome... with 2 tbsp of natty pb on the side. I eat this late, usually my 2nd to last meal of the day. I add sea salt for flavor

My eggs say they have 7g of protein, is most of that in the yolk?

Hmm, if there is 7g of protein in 1 egg, and 3.5g's of that protein are in the whites, how much is left in the yolk?

Two thumbs up for the sea salt and salsa on eggs. Omelets are good, too...a snap to make. Ditto with egg dishes that use low-fat high protein cheese (no, its not the fat, its the type of fat we're avoiding), to which I add egg white protein powder to up the ante on protein loading. I use either EVO or Sesalean to scramble or fry eggs.

What is the name of the cheese?

Kraft Fat Free Natural Shredded Cheddar. 0 fat, 2 g carbs, 9 g protein, 280mg sodium, 45 calories, per 1/4 cup serving. I use it on omelets and occasionally in a low carb tortilla egg sandwich.

that sounds pretty good actually. I may try it.

When I make eggs for my breakfast I use that liquid egg white stuff so it's just the egg whites and I dont have to deal with seperating the whites from the yolks. I scramble the eggs and mix them with onion powder, some cracked pepper (i think thats what its called), crushed red pepper seasoning, and I usually eat this with whole wheat toast... and what i mean by that is that i eat it like a sandwich, with the egg between the two pieces of toast. I have been having this every morning for a while now and have not even thought about getting sick or bored of it. Along with this, if you do get bored with it easily, then change the seasonings around... keep ya interested.

I switch it up between the liquid egg (pasturized) whites in my protein drinks or just separate them and fry them up in a pan w/chives, Mrs. Dash and a little hot sauce... yummy.

I've also done them in the microwave and added my PB - that's even better (this is my last meal of the day)

I make meringues with my egg whites sometimes, because i like dessert-type foods so much.

For a day when you have more time, or want something a little more treat-like, here ya go:

preheat the oven to 225*.

Seprate a bunch of egg whites (as many as you need for your meal) into a large (clean) bowl. Whip it up with a hand mixer until it starts to foam. Add 1 tsp of vanilla extract, and 1 tsp of lemon juice while continuing to whip. Then add in a few packets of splenda (you don't need as many as you might think). Continuie to whip until it forms stiff peaks (about 2 minutes). Then use a spoon and drop spoonfuls onto a cookie sheet lined with a piece of parchment paper (spray some pam on it before setting the meringues on there).

Bake for 2 hours, rotating the sheet half way. You can proabbly turn the oven off after about 1:45 and leave them in there to bake until the oven cools. They shoudl be dried and a little golden/brown on the tops.

It's time-consuming, i guess. Not an instant food. But definitely a nice treat when you're dieting. It's still egg whites.
