I am currently doing 250mg Sus a week and I am wondering if it is possible to drink alcohol while on it. I'm sure drinking while on steroids is not recommmended....but what's the worst that can happen. I do not drink a lot but like the occasional beer or glass of wine.
SAnybody able to share their experiences?

250mg a week is too low...and sust needs to be shot 2 or 3 times a week. Sure you can have some beer or wine, just don't do it in excess every night. If you were doing anadrol, haloteston or D-bol then I would say do not drink at all.

Let us know when you do a real cycle so we can answer your question.

Well imo........I wouldnt drink any simply because why put in all the effort and spend all the money to not get the most outa it! But of course your decision.

I have drunk on gear but my temper is quite bad while on the gear so beer doesn't help.

I can give you the technical reasons why. I don't use any of the standard suite of anabolics or prohormones.

Experiences don't mean jack; you often can't tell when you liver is being fucked over or when muscle cell growth (androgen receptor blockade) is occuring.

Effects are dependent on what you're using, what you're drinking - load and duration, and how often, plus how long you been using, what you use for liver protection, and when you take it. That last part, thats a little killer.

Some not so knowledgable users pop their liver protection afterwards, thinking its a good idea, when its the worst thing possible.

Can you expand on this??

I limit my drinking on cycle, especially if I'm taking orals. I will admit to making the mistake last year of having too much to drink when taking dbol. And I will NEVER do that again. It made the hangover three times as bad.

liver failiure perhaps?

okay, so its unlikely to happen, but i wouldn't go overboard, everything you put into your body passes through the liver including injects remember, i'd limit yourself to a drink once every blue moon, not good to make a habit of it

Sure 'nuf DQ.

Many liver protection compounds are anti-oxidants. Take NAC, N-acetylcysteine, the precursor to glutathione, also known as GSH, the true workhorse antioxidant in the body.

Now you should have in place before you go out drinking, hours before. You take it afterwards, thinking, its good karma, help protect againt ethanol induced liver damage...

Wrong! Its busy dealing with the enthanol itself, and that turns the NAC from what we call reduced, to an oxidized state, where it can work against you, causing damage to membranes, enzymes, DNA.

When you take the antioxidant after the toxin is in the liver, its twice as bad as if you'd just let things be. Twice the damage, first from the alcohol and then from the the disabled antioxidant, which is swamped by the sheet volume of alcohol there ahead of it.. If its in place before hand, with a compound like vitamin C to regenerate it, hunky dory, it can keep up with the joneses and keep ethanol damage to a minimum, if you have enough.

See, its the ethanol metabolites in liver that chemically kick your ass, orI should say, that of your gluthione, and its the latter that blocks alcohol metabolites from doing the dirty work in destroying liver cells.

Worse than shutting the barn door after the horses done bolted, if you try to stop em by shootin' at em as they take off!

So what should you take and when?

I'd just like to say I've been drinking for 42 yrs without any liver protection and it hasn't bothered me. Now.............what were we talking about?

Well put.

Well I could understand staying away from hard liquor. Can a couple of light beers on the weekend with dinner hurt someone on cylce?

Posted by: silly_me

im no expert on roids but my understanding is that (especially with orals) your liver is already under extreme stress (with the steroids, all the protein to be broken down etc) so drinking alcohol on top of it would really kick your ass

Milk Thistle. I try to take that in the morning with food cuz it tended to give me heartburn otherwise. Not sure if that's the best time or not
