About a month and a half ago I sprained my ankle pretty bad while playing basketball... It took about 3 weeks to completely heal, but now that its better, if i move my foot up and down, i hear a crack... not every time but pretty frequently.. Is this something to worry about?

does it hurt after the crack?

Nope, not at all.. it's just weird.

I never went to the hospital for the "sprain"(I say it like that because im not positive thats what it was, but i'm pretty sure it wasn't broken, as I was walking on it fine after about 2 1/2 weeks.)

cracking and poping of joints is pretty common. If it isn't hurting I wouldn't worry about. If you are nervous, go to the Doctor and get it checked out.

I just rolled my ankle Monday night playing basketball. We only had 5 guys on my league team and one of our players has a bad sprain on his ankle. I stepped on his foot while we were trying to catch our breath on a fast break and rolled mine over. It is still swollen and has turned black and blue.

I hate being old. From the age of 8 till about 23 I would recover from a bad sprain in 3-4 days. Now it takes ages to heal.

Indeed. I get cracking and popping in my joints all the time with no associated pain or restriction on ROM whatsoever.
