Help! Lower Part Of My Chest

Ok, according to some people I know. Doing decline bench is good for the lower chest, but some people told me is not necessary to do it, maybe once a month. The thing is that I started doing decline bench once a week now. I'll post a pic later, because I don't know if it's genetics or because I'm not traning right, but I don't have that definition in my lower chest.
How important/necessary are the decline bench presses?

I've heard that flat DB presses are good for that, but i've also heard that you can't really spot work lower pecs. (I belive that came from either GoPro or P-Funk. I'm not in a position to argue with either of them. Heck, I can't imagine what position that would even be...)

You can't target only the lower portion of your chest. You can't even emphasize it. It is theoretically possible to emphasize the sternal head over the clavicular head, but the sternal head is far more than just the "lower" chest. The sternal head encompasses all of your chest mass below about the armpit apex level.

You must simply continue training chest, and as it develops more in its entirety, you will see a more pronounced line separating the lower portion of your chest from your upper abdomen. However, if bodyfat is too high, you will not see much definition in the lower pec line at all, even if your chest is well developed.

I understand you cant target only the lower part, but doesnt doing incline hit more of the upper chest than a decline press and vice-versa

I was thinking of what GoPro said. Maybe my chest has to develop yet, a lot more. Probably that's why I don't see the separation. Anyways I'll still do decline bench presses.

Well, here's the thing. There is a lower head, but the lower head is more than just what I think of when I hear lower chest. What imaginary line do you draw along the chest when you hear it? The line where the two heads become distinctly different is about the top of your armpit. When I hear "lower chest," I think nipple line or below, or something along those lines. The clavicular head is a lot smaller than the sternal head.

Absolutely...as your chest develops more over time, you will begin to see more and more of that low pec line become visible and more delineated.

Just work with a well balanced chest program and you will do fine.
