is a banana , 3 scoops of whey protien, milk and ice cubes good before bed?

I know people say to use a different kind of protien, but in general, is this oK?

i am looking to cut.

No.

Why?

Because 3 scoops of whey protein = overkill (unless you have about 250 lbs of muscle mass).

Not only that but whey is relatively quick to digest and absorb - and usuallu at night you want something that is slowly absorbed to help maintain your amino acid intake over the night.

So I would use a casein type protein (powder or something like cottage cheese)... Or, meat/whole eggs...

I would also add some fiber and fats (to help slow digestion further).

As for the banana?? Well - some carbs at night have been shown to be beneficial in maintaining lean mass when dieting - but I would suggest you swap to a higher fiber fruit such as berries.

i have no fat cottage cheese, so i guess thats better. ill eat some b4 bed. I just been brainwashed into thinking that its bad to eat before bed.

I have some casein protein before bed and, I know this doesn't matter, but it tastes like ass. I honestly get shivers from drinking it. So what could I mix with it to improve taste and maybe even have added benefits to the shake?

Well - As I said to the edubz, instead of just protein I would add some fats, fiber and possibly some fruit/carbs too...

So what about adding some strawberries and some peanut butter? Throw in a little SF cocoa powder and you have a chocolate strawberry peanut butter shake that would probably taste pretty good... If you used frozen berries it would also make it nice and thick....

If you wanted to, you could use natural/plain no added-sugar yoghurt... This would also help with taste.
