I see the topic of race comes up quite a bit on here and I wanted to share this. I dont consider myself a racist but this commercial I saw did piss me off.

I happened to land on BET and it had I believe it was Marlon Wayans and it starts with him saying when they asked me to host the 2006 BET awards I thought it was great becuase I wanted to get back with my people get back with my roots now as they start to show the whole room hes sitting in a chair and there is 5 white females all around him and he looks to one and says go get me some cheese as she walks by he smacks her ass and says everything always tastes better on a "CRACKER".

its only racists if the remark is directed at a non-white!! dumbass!

That joke shouldn't piss anyone off, it is just a joke. When we say that people need to lighten up about racism, we need to make sure we (as whites) don't get all bent out of shape over stupid stuff.

What does bother me is that if you turned that joke around and had a white guy making a simlar joke about black women, you might get in trouble with the PC crowd.

Bottom line is that everyone needs to just lighten up.

Your right Pepper it really should not but the truth is I said to myself well what if this whole thing was switched around with a white man and black females and say it showed on something like MTV more then a few would get bent out of shape.
