Jiggly after a refeed...Why?

Hello,

I'm just curious as to why I would be jiggly and loose after a refeed? I don't feel as firm and my skin is very loose and moves a lot. I was just curious as to why this is. Anyone know?

Thanks!

Yeh, watch the sodium!

It's not so much that. The thing is that carbs make you hold water too.

Approximately 3 grams of water is stored with each gram of glycogen, and as you cut down your carbs again after your refeed, the water goes away.

isn't glycogen stored in muscle though? where does the subcutaneous water retention come from? you know, the jiggly stomach.

it's also best to eat sweet potatos.....sometimes instead of rice/oatmeal which is made with water.....if your having serious water retention. Also cut out condiments other than mustard, watch out for diet soda. Water retention is not a big deal unless you are close to contest time. Afterall, egg whites, chick have plenty of sodium, you need some....

Oh forgot, just DRINK MORE WATER.....

its hard sometimes to convince yourself its just water retention...ya know?

I am famous for that it's all mental, try pinching your skin upper chest and thighs, you will be able to tell the diff between fat/water. When your skin gets thin, its amazing the difference. It might take awhile to tell the diff but, you can. I just learned that, from my trainer for a contest, he just kept pulling my skin on my chest to see if I was retaining water--so weird, but drinking more water you can notice in one day the diff.
